Versadock launches new Z-Series pontoon float
Modular floating pontoon manufacturer, Versadock is launching its new Z-Series pontoon float which has also just been revealed as a DAME Design Award nominee.
The company says it’s focused on two key areas with the design of the float, the adjustable roller arrangement (patent pending) and the design shape. The Z float is said to be the only available roller system offering keel and height-adjustable side rollers, allowing for a wide range of hull forms to be accommodated securely while benefitting from the cushioning effect of pneumatic tyres.
Acting as a three-dimensional plastic version of a keystone in a wall, a mid-float usually locks in place so the force of the vessel driving forward cannot push the float forward, or the weight of the vessel force the float down.
Versadock says it’s designed the the Z-Series central float to allow the mid-section to be removed entirely to accommodate keel boats or ski boats with skegs, vessels which have not previously been able to take advantage of this style of drive on dock system.
“The Versadock team are incredibly proud for this product to be a nominee for the prestigious Dame Awards,” says Chris Davison, Versadock manager. “This is the culmination of years of hard work and dedication and to have it recognised for an award I have always coveted is phenomenal.”.
The new Z Series float will be the first Versadock float manufactured in the UK. It will be on show at Metstrade, 15-17 November 2022, on stand 05.812.
Earlier this year, Versdock announced its expansion into Sweden with SK Nautik Enterprise AB as its new dealer.
