Turkish builder opens UK office
Turkish boatbuilder Dromeas Yachts has opened a UK head office in Hamble Point Marina, Southampton.
The company, which produces high-performance offshore powerboats, says the growth means it will be able to support its worldwide dealer network more efficiently.
The additional 7,000sqm GRP facility takes the boatbuilder’s total production capacity to 12,000sqm. Dromeas says the increase in production capacity will allow its latest vessels, the D33 WA and D33 SUV, to move to full production later this year.
In February, Marine Industry News reported that Dromeas has opened a production facility in Izmir to increase its build capacity. The company has also recently expanded into China.
Dromeas has also announced several new appointments. Josh Douch has now joined the company full-time as IT network manager, having freelanced for Dromeas for over a year. Georgia Bowden joins as a marketing executive, while Danielle Baillie joins as an executive assistant.
