Suntex Marinas acquires New Jersey marina
Suntex Marina Investors is continuing to expand its marina portfolio with the acquisition of Key Harbor Marina in Waretown, New Jersey, USA.
Located on the Jersey shore, Key Harbor is a full-service marina for vessels up to 65ft. It has 260 in-water slips, each with access to electric, water and cable hook ups. Dry storage is also an option, and the property has a 50-tonne travel lift for servicing large vessels. Onsite there’s a restaurant, service department, ship store and new and used boat sales.
This latest acquisition follows the February 2022 announcement that Suntex Marina Investors would merge with marina management company, Westrec Marinas.
“The New Jersey boating market has shown consistent demand that has only grown stronger over the past several years,” says Bryan Redmond, CEO, Suntex Marinas. “The Jersey shore also is continuing its run as one of the nation’s hottest second-home markets. This high demand and growing population create a market ripe for the exceptional service Suntex properties are known for. We see Key Harbor as the first of many investments in the area, which will include further acquisition and strategic capital expenditure into the properties we acquire.”
The Suntex portfolio includes marinas located in Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Texas, Tennessee and Virginia.
