Sol-Go appoints representatives for European market
California-based flexible solar panel manufacturers Sol-Go has announced that Global Marine Associates (GMA) will be representing its products for the marine market in Europe.
Sol-Go was founded by former SunPower employees with expertise in flexible panel design and manufacturing, and delivers ‘durable, cost-effective solar solutions for off-grid applications, including trucking, boating and RVs’.
“For some time now we have been looking for a representative that has a complete understanding of the marine market as well as strong relationships with Europe’s leading distributors,” says Scott McHugo, Sol-Go CEO. “Global Marine Associates came highly recommended following the success they have had establishing other North American manufacturers’ products and I have every belief that our joint efforts will bring success for both parties.”
GMA was established in 2008 and represents manufacturers of marine and leisure products across the European market.
Martin Harding, managing director at GMA, says: “Sol-Go flexible solar panels are technically at the pinnacle of what is commercially available today. One very important factor in us taking the decision to partner with Sol-Go was that the company was founded by the SunPower solar cell development team who have in recent years, dramatically moved solar panel technology forwards.
“All Sol-Go panels feature the SunPower Maxeon IBC (back contact cell) that resists power loss and ensures the highest possible levels of efficiency and as a result we believe the Sol-Go flexible solar panel programme will be appealing to distributors and dealers who may already distribute solar panels as well as to those who are looking to enter this arena for the first time.”
