SMG announces UK launch of ThrustMe and Rebelcell
SMG, the exclusive UK, Ireland and Channel Islands distributor, will launch Rebelcell and ThrustMe at this year’s Southampton International Boat Show (SIBS).
ThrustMe was established in 2015 to develop electrical propulsion solutions and to produce products with a functional, lightweight, and innovative design. The Thrustme Kicker is a transom mount outboard designed for ship-to-shore tenders, small lake boats and inshore fishing inflatables. It weighs 4.4Kg (nearly 10kg lighter than the smallest petrol outboard), making it the lightest electric outboard with a built-in lithium battery available on the market today.
Combined with a runtime of up to 2.5 hours, remote control and six forward and reverse speeds, the Kicker is the ideal portable outboard solution for the marine and fishing markets.
ThrustMe Cruiser
The Cruiser, weighing in at an even lighter 3.3Kg, is designed specifically for the watersports market and is primarily aimed at kayakers, canoeists and SUP users. The motor can easily be interchanged between canoes and boards making it excellent value, and being lighter, the runtime is increased to up to four hours.
Over the last ten years, Rebelcell has become a leading brand of lithium-ion batteries that are extremely well suited to the angling and marine markets thanks to their lightweight design, longevity, and power-to-size ratio. Products being showcased include the Outdoorbox, a compact, lightweight, robust and waterproof (IP65) portable power source available in a 35amp, 50amp and 70amp model and the Rebelcell Start, a lithium starter battery for outboard engines up to 200hp, which is designed to save up to 70 per cent in space and weight.
ThrustMe and Rebelcell will be presented on stand J407 at SIBS.
