Sea Angling Classic kicks off national roadshow
The Sea Angling Classic ‘Let’s Meet & Fish’ roadshow hits the road in Wales this weekend on a national tour designed to promote its ‘catch, photograph and release’ fishing competition, which takes place in Portsmouth this summer.
The roadshow also lets visitors take a closer look at the competition’s grand prize — an Extreme 745 Game King boat with a Yamaha V6 300hp outboard engine and the Helm Master EX control system.
The boat will be presented to the winner of the recreational boat angling category when the competition takes place at the main event in Portsmouth, from 14-18 June 2023.
The Sea Angling Classic ‘Let’s Meet & Fish’ roadshow kicks off in Wales at the Cardiff Bay Yacht Club on 12 March 2023, before venturing along the south coast and up into Scotland.

Organiser Angling Spirit says experienced anglers and beginners alike are invited to join the Sea Angling Classic team to get a taste of what’s in store at the main event
“Whether someone’s an avid angler or just starting out, we’d be delighted to have them join us at one of our seven roadshow locations,” says Ross Honey, managing director of Angling Spirit and founder of the Sea Angling Classic.
“They can get up close and personal with the amazing Extreme 745 Game King prize boat powered by a Yamaha V6 300hp outboard with Helm Master EX functionality,
“Visitors can also meet our event partners and check out their products, as well as enjoy a fun-filled day out on the water before reconvening back on the shore to crown the ‘king of the day’ for the longest fish caught. It’s sure to be an unforgettable day out – everyone’s welcome.”
The Sea Angling Classic roadshow will visit seven locations along the coast of the UK from March to May 2023:

The Sea Angling Classic aims to promote UK angling in a responsible and sustainable manner. The programme of events leading up to the four-day competition includes a shore clean-up programme, which is a prerequisite for entry for participants, an around-the-UK educational road show, and a family-friendly crabbing competition.
Registration for the ‘Let’s Meet & Fish’ roadshow events is now live, and registration for the Sea Angling Classic is now open.
