SBS Boatlife reports ‘epic’ growth for second show
SBS Boatlife says that the boating industry has confidently backed its upcoming show with 25 per cent more space booked than 2022, and a trend of repeat exhibitors taking larger stands. Advance ticket sales are said to be ‘way ahead’ of the first show. Attendees can look forward to exploring 200 boats inside the NEC including 12 narrowboats, and 200 brands (shown by more than 150 exhibitors).
The show’s hosting a raft of talks, including Will Croxford who will be chatting about his preparations for the Global Solo Challenge and how he plans to complete a solo non-stop sail around the world with no fossil fuels onboard later this year. Harry, Charlie, and Thomas White – the 2022 British Yachting Young Sailor of the Year award winners will be sharing their sailing journey, and at the other end of the scale, raconteur and author Tom Cunliffe will engage audiences with his experiences, tips and adventure stories. There’ll be practical content on offer too, like the talk on boat finance, looking at what is available, how to use it and more.
SBS Boatlife says it’ll have 14 dedicated ambassadors attending who represent a variety of sectors including watersports, sailing, angling and inland waterways.
Plus, it’s got diverse influencers from boating social media to deliver extended coverage of the show. The show runs at the Birmingham NEC from 16-19 February 2023.
