Raymarine extends ‘preferred supplier’ deal by five years
Raymarine has confirmed a five-year extension to its ‘preferred supplier’ arrangement with Dutch motor yacht builder, Linssen Yachts.
The relationship, which has been in place since 1998, gives Linssen owners access to the full range of Raymarine electronics, including chartplotters, autopilots and digital control systems. Installation is carried out by Raymarine-trained electronics specialists at the yard with direct manufacturer support.
Grégoire Outters, general manager at Raymarine, says: “We’re delighted to announce the extension of our 25 year-long preferred supplier relationship with Linssen Yachts. Over that time, our Benelux team has worked closely with the Linssen yard to deliver what the owner of a Linssen expects and deserves — world-class electronics with world-class support.”
Raymarine, through its local fully-owned subsidiary, Raymarine Benelux, provides technical and installation training to the yard as well as support, with refresher courses as new products are launched.
Ed Houben, managing director at Linssen, says: “As you can imagine, we choose our suppliers very carefully, and continuity is important to us. We have spent many years building up a network of specialists whose ethos matches our own, and whose offers add to the enjoyment and peace of mind of owning a Linssen yacht.
“Over the past 25 years, Raymarine has proven its ability to supply and support the very best in onboard systems and related equipment. We are very pleased to extend the existing relationship for a further five years and look forward to building on our success to date.”
This announcement comes after the recent 2022 METSTRADE event in Amsterdam, where the YachtSense Link Marine Router won the prestigious DAME Award in the category of ‘Marine electronics and marine related software’.
