Poland yacht show reports ‘record year’
Organisers of the Polboat Yachting Festival have confirmed the 2022 show has been the biggest to date, with the largest number of exhibitors ever participating.
Nearly 100 yachts went on display at the third edition of the annual Polboat Yachting Festival, which took place from 21-24 July 2022, at Marina Yacht Park in Gdynia, Poland. There were over a dozen premieres, including several world premieres. Over 20,000 people attended the four-day event.
The show, organised by the Polish Chamber of Yachting Industry and Water Sports (Polboat), is billed as an opportunity to see the current models available from Polish producers and distributors, and to view sailing yachts, motorboats and sports equipment on the water.
As in previous years, the ceremonial opening was held on a Sunreef Yachts catamaran. Other exhibitors at the event included Bayliner, Cobrey, Flipper, Futuro Boats, Hanse, Lamdo Yachts, Malibu, Nautic Yachts, Nimbus, Northman, Parker Poland, Viko Yachts, VTS Boats, Vulcan Yachts, and Windy.
During the first day, the President of the city of Gdynia presented the following Gdynia Polboat awards as follows:
- In the sailing yachts category – Bavaria C42
- In the category of motorboats up to 11 m – Alfastreet 23
- In the category of motorboats, the area of 11 m – Balt 37 Grand
A special award was also given to the Galeon shipyard (which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year) for its role in promoting the Polish yachting industry.
