Leading global logistics company Peters & May has confirmed a new three year sponsorship deal with the New York Yacht Club Regatta Association (NYYC RA).

As NYYC RA’s official yacht shipping and logistics sponsor in 2023, 2024 and 2025, the Peters & May team will work with the New York Yacht Club to ensure all club members and participants of club-hosted regattas, including all national and international regattas, have expert transport services easily accessible. This includes events such as the 2024 ORC World Championship and the 2024 TP52 World Championship.

Founded in 1844, the New York Yacht Club is one of the most renowned yacht clubs in the world, occupying two clubhouses in New York, N.Y., and Newport, R.I., and hosting some of the most coveted events every year.

“It is an honour to be working with the New York Yacht Club Regatta Association,” says Craig Stanbury, global operations director – racing at Peters & May. “At the heart of this strategic alliance lies a shared commitment to elevate the world of sailing. This relationship will undoubtedly open new horizons for members and participants alike, affording them unparalleled access to the diverse sailing destinations we can offer.

“Our team is comprised of some of the most highly skilled yacht handling professionals and this sponsorship will give us the opportunity to showcase the skills that we have spent the last 50 years honing, to both private individuals and New York Yacht Club members worldwide.”

New York Yacht Club commodore Paul M. Zabetakis comments: “Whether it’s bringing the world to Newport to compete in one of our regattas, or enabling our members to cruise Europe, the southern hemisphere and elsewhere, reliable and efficient yacht shipping is an essential service.

“A partnership with Peters & May… is a win-win for our members and our events. We’re very pleased to have Peters & May join our family of regatta partners for at least the next three seasons.”

Peters & May is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year (2023), beginning as a freight forwarding company in 1973. With a global network of trusted agents and partners, it now occupies 10 offices across Europe, Asia and the United States, with its main US office located in Fort Lauderdale.
