Osculati Group announces strong 2022 results
Italian nautical accessories distributor Osculati Group has announced its figures for the nautical year 2022 (September 2021 – August 2022), and reports an overall positive trend.
Turnover in 2022 reached €115m, an increase of 13 per cent over the same period in 2021. Turnover grew by 15 per cent in Italy and by 16 per cent in Europe. However, turnover decreased by 1 per cent in non-European countries.
Compared with the pre-pandemic period (2019), the increase in turnover was 60 per cent. This reflects a 57 per cent increase in Italy, 60 per cent in Europe, and an 88 increase in non-European countries.
At the recent Genoa Boat Show, Osculati presented a press preview of its first sustainability report for the year 2021. The report will be published on the Osculati website in mid-October, and compiles the firm’s environmental initiatives in the last year.
Highlights of the 2021 sustainability report include the use of energy from only renewable sources; offsetting emissions through an Italian algae cultivation project; recycling processes for 89 per cent of all waste produced; and support for bodies and associations committed to achieving the 2030 agenda goals.
“The starting point is to be aware of, renew and strengthen our commitment to development increasingly oriented towards a sustainable and inclusive model, attentive both to the needs of people and those of the environment,” says Annalisa Magni, ESG manager of Osculati, “with special thanks due to Alberto Osculati, managing director, who initiated and has strongly believed in this project, supporting it fully at every stage.”
With over 22,000 references and more than 95 per cent goods’ availability, Osculati has the largest stock of nautical equipment in Europe, and one of the most extensive in the world.
