Ocean Independence, the Swiss-based brokerage company headquartered in Küsnacht, has announced the expansion of its presence in Germany. It is now operating in Munich in addition to existing offices in Düsseldorf, Hamburg, and Constance. The company, which has been a prominent player in the DACH region, provides services related to yacht sales, yacht charter trips, and yacht management.

To enhance support for its growing customer base in southern Germany, Ocean Independence has partnered with the luxury travel provider Art of Travel. The collaboration is based in Munich, where Art of Travel is located. Rachel Langebröker, from Art of Travel, will manage yacht charter inquiries and work alongside Ocean Independence’s team. Additionally, German-speaking sales consultants from Ocean Independence will be regularly present in Munich to offer support.

The news comes a month after Ocean Independence appointed André Mahr to the newly created role of chief operating officer.

“When we analyse our customer base, it is obvious that we need to become more involved in Munich — as has now happened,” says Peter Hürzeler, CEO of Ocean Independence. “I am very pleased that we have entered into this partnership with Art of Travel and that we now have another point of contact for our customers in the south of Germany. We serve a very similar clientele.”

Norbert Pokorny, CEO of Art of Travel, adds: “It is very exciting for us to be working with Ocean Independence and immersing ourselves in the yachting world. We will certainly complement each other very well. I am very much looking forward to working with such a well-known player in yachting.”
