Yacht brokerage Northrop & Johnson says it has appointed Mark Sanfilippo to its international team as head of technology & product. He will be based in the company’s Fort Lauderdale office.

Sanfilippo’s career has spanned technology planning, system architecture and implementing innovative solutions, says Northrop & Johnson.

As head of the technology department, Sanfilippo will be expected to advance and discover new ways to put N&J at the forefront of technological advancements. He will aim to help drive N&J’s ERP platforms, focusing on AI and maintaining efficient project cycles throughout the year.

“We are confident that with the addition of Mark to our technology team, N&J will be able to further separate itself from the competition. We have implemented cutting-edge, streamlined solutions to improve ERP systems and now have the ability to branch out and develop industry-specific, specialised tools for our brokers to stay ahead of the curve,” says Northrop & Johnson president and COO, Daniel Ziriakus.

“AI and business intelligence will further lead our investment cycles, and we’re excited to have Mark on the team to help push this department to new heights.”

Prior to joining N&J, Sanfilippo held many leading positions in various development and private equity-backed real estate companies, where he gained extensive knowledge and experience of virtually everything under the umbrella of technology strategy and implementation.

In October 2022, Italian boatbuilder Wider partnered with Northrop & Johnson to sell two of its superyachts, a 170ft and a 210ft.
