New superyacht golf domes and inflatables launch from FunAir
Superyacht inflatable manufacturer FunAir is set to launch its largest product line to date at the Monaco Yacht Show 2024 (25-28 September).
New for this year, FunAir is introducing two inflatable golf nets, the GeoDome and Cube, which were created in partnership with the new superyacht golf brand Off the Deck. These products will be showcased alongside the SeaDrive CX, Off the Deck’s new golf entertainment system. ‘The first of its kind, superyacht golf simulator’ – launched onboard 67-metre motoryacht Loon – enables users to play on various worldwide golf courses, group competitions and interactive games from a yacht deck.
While the company offers B1E non-toxic, biodegradable golf balls, the simulator has been designed for use with any golf ball. In response to client demand, Off the Deck wants to facilitate players using their own golf balls without them remaining in the ocean, resulting in the GeoDome and Cube Golf Nets being designed. The nets can be customised to fit any yacht space.
Ashley Hare, co-founder of Off the Deck and ex-chief officer, says: “This collaboration allows us to bring a revolutionary new product to market: the world’s first inflatable FunAir X Off the Deck Golf Netting System, custom-designed for use with the SeaDriveCX. This innovative solution combines the best of both worlds – FunAir’s renowned expertise in high-quality inflatables and Off the Deck’s groundbreaking advancements in superyacht golf entertainment. Together, we’ve crafted a product that redefines the possibilities of onboard golfing, allowing enthusiasts to experience the thrill of practising with real golf balls, even while at sea.”
FunAir will also launch additional inflatables to enable yachts to create the ‘ultimate FunAir Water Park.’ The Splash Dome and the Splash Tower will be presented at the show. Both new products have been designed to be used in conjunction with additional FunAir products. The Splash Dome features climbing holds or a slide surface with a trampoline-style net at the bottom for relaxation, while the Splash Tower combines a slide and climbing tower with non-slip surfaces.
Courtney adds: “Our goal is to provide superyacht owners and charter clients with an unmatched range of entertainment options.”
FunAir will remain in the same show location with its in-water yacht toy display next to the FunAir pontoon at the Captain and Crew Lounge on Quay Louis II. “We invite all captains, crew and owners to stop by, try out our new products, and experience the FunAir and the deck difference,” adds Courtney.
FunAir is among the sponsors of the Captain and Crew Lounge for the ninth consecutive year at Monaco.
