New chief operating officer at Silent-Yachts
Solar-electric boatbuilder Silent-Yachts has appointed Fabrizio Iarrera as its COO to oversee day-to-day administrative and operational functions at the firm.
The Austrian firm, which recently acquired a new shipyard in Italy, builds solar electric catamarans between 18m-36m.
“I’m happy to welcome Fabrizio to our strong and capable team,” said Michael Köhler, founder and CEO of Silent-Yachts. “This move will help us become even more efficient in production and make sure all orders are flawlessly executed and delivered on time and on budget. Fabrizio is an accomplished and success-oriented executive with extensive experience in business operations and development and project management.”
Iarrera has previously worked at Atlantis, part of Azimut-Benetti, and Monte Carlo Yachts, part of Groupe Beneteau. At Silent-Yachts, he will be responsible for the production, shipyard workflow and operations management.
“The goal is to make sure our customers are satisfied with their dream catamarans built by Silent-Yachts as always,” says Iarrera. “I’m grateful for a chance to work for such an incredible and promising company and definitely the sky’s the limit for our team.”
Silent-Yachts says it has 28 solar electric catamarans under construction at its two production sites in Italy and Turkey, including the flagship Silent 120 Explorer, said to have ‘unlimited range’.
