Nanni presents new range of generators for superyachts
Nanni has unveiled its brand-new range of John Deere-based generators, with the Q4500-45ST50 model, at Cannes (Palais 125). They’re designed specifically for the superyacht market with power ratings from 45 to 98 kWe.
The Q4500 generator marks a major step forward in Nanni’s offering. The company says it guarantees optimum energy efficiency and offers high-performance, fuel-efficient equipment, thanks to the use of diesel engines with controlled electronic injection.
Nanni has integrated the ‘soundless’ cab on all its generators as standard. The cab is designed to offer a significant reduction in noise levels.
The model on display in Cannes, the Q4500-45ST50, has a power rating of 45 kWe in three-phase at 50 Hz, and is powered by a 4-cylinder, 4500 cm3 John Deere base engine with electronic common-rail injection in compliance with EPA Tier III standards, and a Leroy Sommer IP23 generator. This range also offers power ratings of 45, 60, 75 and 85 kWe in 50 Hz, and 47, 70, 80 and 98 kWe in 60 Hz, all in three-phase.
The company recently marked working with the Kubota Corporation for 50 years.
Nanni and Kubota say they have adapted to technological developments and market needs. Their cooperation has developed a range of propulsion engines from 10 to 140 hp for the marine market, particularly in the sailing segment. This collaboration has also led to the creation of a range of generators from 5 to 38 kW.
Both companies desire a concrete vision of sustainable energy transition for their products. The homologation of the entire range of engines with the low-emission fuel, HVO, which has been integrated since 2022, is part of this transition process.
From a commercial point of view, the joint objective of the partnership is to expand the propulsion engines reach into the sailing and catamaran markets.
