MarineAM conference returns for second edition
The MarineAM Conference and Exhibition returns for a second edition in Southampton later this month, after the sold-out first event in 2021 was deemed a success.
MarineAM 2022 takes place at Southampton Football Club on 15-16 June, 2022, and is organised by the Fluency Business Group. The two-day conference explores advanced materials for the marine sector, and Fluency says this year will follow in the accomplishments that were made at the MarineAM inaugural launch last summer.
Two days of expert presentations, keynotes, Q&A and panel discussions accompany an exhibit by some of the most notable composite manufacturers within the marine sector. Attendees will also get the chance to network with industry professionals.
Composites and adhesives manufacturer Scott Bader is the event’s platinum sponsor. The company’s global sales development manager, Neil Kegg, will give a presentation on marine sustainability.
Fellow exhibitors include gelcoat and colour paste supplier, Colorplas; hull moulding manufacturer, MonsterCAM Composite Systems; and specialist polymer developer, PolyMer Tech 1RX.
A PolyMer Tech 1RX representative will be hosting a presentation on the topic of polyethylene with adhesives bonding during the event.
Other subjects covered by the conference include composites for hull construction; additive manufacturing; coating resistances and advancements; and marine economy and sustainability.
Cygnet Texkimp, expert in British export-led fibre handling and processing machinery, is currently a gold sponsor for all AM Events, and will be exhibiting alongside fellow manufacturers.
Anyone wishing to get involved is invited to send an email to Fluency Group with a short abstract, along with a bio.
Delegate tickets, as well as dinner tickets, are available to purchase on the Advanced Materials Events website, with a multiple ticket purchase discount available.
Gemma Smith, managing director of Fluency, says: “MarineAM promises to be nothing short of informative, educational, and thought-provoking, bringing together a wealth of global marine, advanced materials, and engineering knowledge under one roof for two days of the unprecedented showcase.”
