Le Boat boosts fleet in Canada
Holiday boat rental company Le Boat has expanded its network and added six new Horizon Plus boats to its fleet on the Unesco World Heritage Rideau Canal in Ontario, Canada.
The addition of the new boats brings Le Boat’s fleet to 30 boats for the 2022 season, set to open on 20 May.
Managing director of Le Boat, Cheryl Brown says: “With the worst of the pandemic hopefully behind us, travel confidence is steadily returning and bookings are flooding in once more. It feels so good to be preparing our boats and bases to open with more certainty.”
The Le Boat ownership model is similar to a time-share or boat share programme and is suitable for travellers who enjoy boating more than once a year, says the company. Le Boat covers all the costs of boat maintenance, dockage, and off-season storage and provides ongoing maintenance. Owners will enjoy ten weeks of cruising in Canada and Europe each year and receive a return of six per cent of the boat’s purchase value per month.
Le Boat has 950 boats stationed at a network of over 37 different departure bases across eight European countries. Le Boat arrived in Canada in 2018.
