With just a few days to go until Early Bird entries close on 1 February, competitors are encouraged to take advantage of the discounts on offer and register their entry for the 2020 edition of the world-famous Round the Island Race.

This year’s event will take place on Saturday 30 May, a few weeks earlier than usual to accommodate tidal conditions.  With starts beginning shortly after sunrise, competitors are expected to enjoy a memorable first leg down to the Needles, together with a welcome early finish back in Cowes.

Dave Atkinson, Round the Island Event Director said: “Every year brings an entirely new racing experience for participants, and we hope that 2020 sees plenty of favourable winds and sunshine.  The Round the Island Race is often well attended by families and cruiser boats, many of whom will be taking part in their only race of the year.  We at the Island Sailing Club believe it’s a great privilege that these boats choose to have their big great adventure around our Round the Island race course.”
