Lalizas expands commercial presence with new Canada branch
Lalizas, which manufactures lifesaving equipment such as lifejackets, life rafts, immersion suits, MOB systems and breathing apparatus, has announced the opening of a new branch in Vancouver, Canada, further strengthening its commercial footprint in the Americas.
This follows the company’s acquisition of Revere Survival in Jacksonville in April 2024.
As part of the Greece-based Lalizas Group, the Vancouver branch will offer a comprehensive range of marine safety equipment and solutions, supported by a fully stocked warehouse. Lalizas says it aims to meet the diverse needs of commercial shipbuilders and marine professionals, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety requirements. The firm will also streamline distribution and service delivery using its B2B platform.
The firm recently moved its UK operations into newly acquired offices and a warehouse in Portsmouth.
Lalizas, a family-owned company founded in Piraeus, Greece in 1982, operates in over 130 countries and has more than 40 years of experience in the maritime industry. The firm now has 10 branches worldwide, including locations in Spain, Italy, Croatia, Montenegro, Turkey, China, the UAE, South Africa, the USA and the UK.
Miguel Norato has been appointed as the country manager of Lalizas Canada. “As we set our roots in Canada we are committed to encouraging strong relationships with local dealers and partners,” he says. “We believe in the power of synergy and are eager to work together to enhance maritime safety across the country.”
Stavros Lalizas, founder and CEO of the Lalizas Group, adds: “This year we proudly announced the acquisition of Revere Survival and now we launch our own branch in Canada. This shows that we are always open to identifying opportunities and are ready to take action.”
