JST announces tall ship voyages for 2023
The Southampton-based sailing charity Jubilee Sailing Trust (JST) has revealed a brand-new voyage programme for summer 2023.
The programme includes a total of ten trips on board the charity’s flagship Tenacious which has specially adapted lifts between all decks, a speaking compass, height-adjustable furniture, and many other accessible features as standard.
The list of trips starts with a four-day sail from Portland Harbour on the south coast, with other voyages planned to Portsmouth, Cardiff, Liverpool, Greenock, Lerwick, Arendal, Blyth, Chatham, and Great Yarmouth.
“We are delighted to announce this superb schedule of exciting voyages for summer 2023,” says Tanya Knowlton, head of commercial income. “Our summer voyages are always popular, and with over 100 bookings in the first weeks after release, we are urging anyone interested in signing up, to get in quickly, before they miss out.”
The JST’s mission is to offer people of mixed abilities the opportunity to explore their potential at sea, and its voyages are open to young, old, disabled or non-disabled people alike.
“We want to give everyone the chance to experience life on board Tenacious,” Knowlton adds. “Here at the JST we take pride in removing barriers and enabling people of all abilities and backgrounds to take an active role on board.”
