ePropulsion launches safety package for watersports
To help clubs and watersports providers move away from burning hydrocarbons, ePropulsion UK (and its Hayling Island-based dealer eSolent) says it’s launching a new e-safety boat package.
This is specifically aimed at RYA affiliated clubs, training and watersports centres. The plan is that the new package makes switching to electric propulsion straightforward. It comprises a Rigiflex 360 safety boat and Extreme Trailer fitted with an ePropulsion long-range Navy 3.0 electric outboard and E80 battery and includes full fit-out with cabling, controls, charging and a bespoke bow locker for the battery.
It’s taking the Navy 3.0 and 6.0 long-range electric outboard, as well as its Spirit outboard, to the RYA Dinghy and Watersports Show at Farnborough International Exhibition Centre (25-26 February 2023).
ePropulsion says the Navy 3.0 outboard will comfortably power a 2.5-tonne boat with between 300 and 3000 watts of power between low speed and full throttle, and has run times of 80 minutes at full speed and up to 13 hours at low speed.
Last year ePropulsion UK, distributor of ePropulsion’s electric marine products across the UK, won MDL’s first Green Innovator Award at the Green Tech Boat Show.
