Benetti unveils limited-edition Voyager superyacht
Luxury boatbuilder Benetti has added a new, limited-edition yacht to its B.Yond range.
The 40-metre B.Yond Limited Edition — developed to celebrate the Italian shipyard’s 150th anniversary — is available for 12 months, starting in June 2023.
Benetti describes the new superyacht as an ‘exquisite jewel’ that enhances the original design features of the four-deck B.Yond range. With naval architecture in collaboration with P.L.A.N.A. Design – Eng. Pierluigi Ausonio, the B.Yond Limited Edition superyacht is finished in a metallic colour called Vulcan Grey, embellished with a distinctive black shield. A golden waterline spans the boat from stern to bow.
The limited edition also boasts glass railings with teak handrails. The new beach area on the upper deck offers the owner and guests an open-air lounge with two C-shaped sofas and two coffee tables, covering a total surface area of over 80 sqm. This space also includes an infinity pool of almost 8sqm.
The main deck is home to the night area, with four VIP cabins containing double beds and a full-beam master suite. The garage can accommodate two jet skis, a 6.5-metre tender and the rescue boat.
The B.Yond Limited Edition offers as an option the ‘E-Mode’ hybrid propulsion system, developed in partnership with Siemens Energy, which optimises on-board energy consumption. Benetti says this makes this Voyager ‘the most sustainable in its segment.’
This hybrid system offers four different operating modes, including full electric, allowing the vessel to cruise in marine protected areas typically off-limits to motor yachts with diesel engines.
Based on an average annual use of 1,000 hours (400 underway and the rest at anchor), Benetti says fuel consumption and CO2 can be reduced by up to 24 per cent, and NOx by a maximum of 85 per cent.
The B.Yond Limited Edition has a range of 8,200 miles at 9 knots in Eco Transfer mode — said to be almost double the range of similarly sized navettas — with the two generators off and only one internal combustion propulsion engine in operation.
In May, MIN reported that Benetti had launched its new mega yacht — a 67m vessel with interiors designed by the owner.
