Auckland Boat Show to return in 2023
The Auckland Boat Show will return from 23-26 March 2023, running directly after SailGP’s March regatta.
New Zealand’s largest boat show will include a large marina display in Jellicoe Harbour, filling the space outside the former America’s Cup bases. On-land exhibits will complement the on-water component of the show, taking up a Hamer Street spot in central Auckland’s Wynyard Quarter.
The return of the on-water festival follows a two-year hiatus due to the covid pandemic.
“Staging the show on these dates – during daylight savings, and in the settled weather this time of year delivers – gives us the chance to promote boating, boats and equipment to their best advantage,” says Auckland Boat Show organiser, Stacey Cook.
A wide range of boats will be on show on the water – from RIBs and tenders to large yachts and multihulls, with sea trials in Waitematā Harbour.
For 22 years the Auckland Boat Show has also provided an important stage for regional and international parts and services providers. With a large on-land component of the show, the event has become a launching point each year for annual releases of innovative products and new developments.
With the local marine industry reporting record-breaking sales, and a thriving innovation sector within New Zealand, 2023’s show is set to be a record-breaker after its two-year break
